Approved! And more progress
Exciting news to report - we passed our final inspection! Brian took the day off from work yesterday anticipating a potentially lengthy inspection but all our work on the punch list paid off and we passed our final inspection with no problem. We were able to finally take our permits off the front windows, where they had been residing for, oh, around three years. Hurrah!
In the meantime, we've been continuing to work on trim and finish projects here and finally have some new pictures to share. First up, the final light fixture in the entire house - the fixture over the bathtub in the master bathroom. I love how it looks and Brian is happy that the electrical work on this house is finally complete.
Next is a slightly more lengthy project - trimming out the fireplace. We'll put up a full set of before and after pictures when this is done but for now, some work in progress photos.

Final touch! |

Starting point - the marble tile has been installed for quite some time but no trim up yet |
Boxing out the frame for the trim |
Adding the trim on the sides |
And now repeating the process on the top |
And trim on top |
Dry fitting the reclaimed wood beam we'll be using as a mantel |
Another shot of the mantel |
Putting a coat of poly on the beam/mantel for s nice finish before we install it permanently |
